Lexus teased that it would bring an updated version of the IS sedan to the 2016 Beijing Auto Show. Although, after seeing the 2017 IS, we really can't see why Lexus made such a big deal about it. The 2017 IS gets updated headlights and LED taillights. The car also gets a new grille with a three-dimensional F-mesh pattern and jet-black metallic coating that incorporates functional brake ducts. The new face looks more like the most recent GS facelift. Whether or not this facelift looks any better, we will leave up to you.

A refreshed interior boasts a multimedia display that's grown from seven inches to 10.3 inches, while the Lexus Remote Touch Interface now has enter buttons on either side of the controller to make the system easier to use. Sorry Lexus, clearly you have been busy with this car! The engine lineup stays the same as last year with the IS200t, IS300, and IS350, so those engine specs remain unchanged. However, Lexus has added two new body colors: Deep Blue Mica and Graphite Black Glass Flake, as well as and new wheel designs. We were expecting bigger changes than this, but the IS was already selling pretty well. Lexus probably didn't want to change the formula too drastically.
