2018 Range Rover Vogue Facelift Breaks Cover Before Official Reveal

An official reveal shouldn't be too far away.

After Land Rover lifted the wraps off the 2018 Range Rover Sport range which introduced the automaker’s first ever plug-in hybrid model and an updated SVR with more power, it was inevitable that the Vogue would also receive a facelift for the 2018 model. While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, a leaked promotional video posted on YouTube gives us a first look at the 2018 Range Rover Vogue. While the footage isn’t very high quality, we can see that the new Vogue has been updated with similar design tweaks as the facelifted Sport.

Like the 2018 Range Rover Sport, the facelifted Vogue’s exterior has had some subtle styling changes inspired by its larger Velar sibling, featuring a redesigned grille with a different mesh pattern, Matrix Pixel LED headlights, and a new front bumper. We also get a brief peek inside the 2018 Range Rover Vogue’s plush cabin.

Inside, there are two 10-inch touchscreen displays similar to the Velar and the 2018 Range Rover Sport. Assuming that this is identical to the facelifted Range Rover Sport’s Touch Pro Duo infotainment system, we can also expect gesture controlled sun visors and Advanced Tow Assist which helps drivers perform tricky reverse manoeuvres using a rotary Terrain Response controller on the center console. It’s also highly likely that the 2018 Range Rover Vogue will adopt a plug-in hybrid powertrain like the Sport featuring a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor producing a combined output of 404 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque.

Using electric power alone, the 2018 Range Rover Vogue should be able to cover a range of 31 miles. 0-62 mph takes 6.3 seconds in the Range Rover Sport P400e before it tops out at 137 mph or 85 mph when in pure EV mode, so expect similar performance from the updated Vogue. That’s all we know about the new 2018 Vogue for now, but the leaked footage suggests that an official reveal should be imminent.
