Upon its debut last year, the Genesis G70 became the new benchmark premium sports sedan. The recipient of numerous industry awards, the G70 takes aim directly at the big guns, specifically the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedans. Its surprisingly potent 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder boasts 255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque while the optional 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 has 365 hp and 376 lb-ft is more powerful than the Mercedes-AMG C43and Audi S4. The Genesis G70 also looks fantastic inside and out while carrying an MSRP of a very reasonable $35,450. And the news is about to get even better.

Cars Direct has come across a bulletin just sent to Genesis dealerships: a $2,500 dealer cash incentive on a new G70. Combined with other current savings, buyers can potentially save upwards of $4,500.

Before rushing to your nearest Genesis dealer, there are a few things to consider. For starters, the $2,500 dealer cash is exactly that, dealer cash. This means dealers can essentially do whatever they want with it; they don't have to offer or even acknowledge it to customers. This is why it'd be smart to shop around at more than one dealership. Another important fact: this G70 cashback offer applies to only certain turbo-four trims, specifically the Dynamic, Sport, and Prestige packages. The twin-turbo V6 models are not eligible, nor are those equipped with manual transmissions.

Additional G70 savings comes from a $1,000 Year-End Bonus on all G70 trims. There's also another $1,000 in savings for customers coming from competing brands or another Genesis model. Even current Hyundai owners qualify for Genesis' loyalty discount.

If you prefer to lease a 2019 G70, there just so happens to be an excellent offer on the table this month. You can lease a G70 Elite for $409 a month for 36 months with $0 due at signing. That's incredible for a luxury car with a retail value of around $41,000. To compare, a 2020 BMW 330i lease is over $130 a month more.

And get this: the G70 Prestige's effective lease cost is exactly the same as that of the Chevrolet Malibu LT at $409 a month even though the difference in the G70's MSRP is more than $14,000. As Genesis clears out its remaining stock of 2019 G70s, now is the best time of the year for a great deal.
