Earlier this year, Infiniti announced that the 2019 QX80 will be available with a new range-topping Limited trim allowing the automaker to compete with other established full-size luxury SUVs. What we didn't know at the time, however, was how much the ultra-luxurious trim would cost, but CarsDirect has now confirmed the pricing. If you want the top trim, be prepared to pay a substantial premium.

Including the $1,295 destination charge, the 2019 QX80 Limited starts at $91,095, which is $24,700 more than the base model's MSRP of $66,395. As CarsDirect points out, it's also significantly more than the $82,995 price tag of a fully loaded 2018 model.

It's a steep increase, but the 2019 QX80 Limited is loaded with luxurious equipment to justify the price tag including bespoke 22-inch wheels, Infiniti's ProActive speed-sensitive power-steering system, ProActive hydraulic Body Motion Control, an adaptive front lighting system with auto-leveling headlights, headlight washers, stainless steel running boards, auto-dimming and heated exterior mirrors, a smart rearview mirror, and satin chrome exterior trim.

Inside, the Limited also comes with an advanced climate control system, second-row footwell courtesy lights, a 120-volt power outlet, Ultrasuede pillars and headliner and embossed first- and second-row seatbacks. There's also quilted semi-aniline leather and Alcantara seats, heated second-row seats, climate-controlled front seats, open pore Ash Wood trim, illuminated kick plates, and a Bose 15-speaker sound system. Extra safety features include lane departure warning & prevention, distance control assist and intelligent cruise control.

With all these added luxuries, the Infiniti QX80 is now a more formidable rival to the Lexus LX570, Lincoln Navigator, and Cadillac Escalade.
