Karma waves goodbye to the old Revero just before production of the all-new model begins.
Karma introduced the all-new 2020 Revero GT a few months ago. While the first-generation model has only been in production since 2016, it was based on the woefully outdated Fisker Karma that debuted back in 2011, so an update was long overdue. Starting at $135,000, the 2020 Karma Revero features a redesigned exterior (although you probably wouldn't know that when comparing it to the old model) and a hybrid setup combining two electric motors and a BMW-sourced, turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that powers an on-board electric generator.
This setup delivers a combined output of 535 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, enabling the luxury hybrid sedan to hit 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and a limited top speed of 125 mph, while also achieving a total driving range of up to 360 miles and a pure electric range of 80 miles. Deliveries begin in Q4, but before then Karma is giving the old 2019 Revero a special send-off with four custom models.
These four bespoke cars represent the final examples of the 2019 Revero before production of the new 2020 model begins. Each custom 2019 Revero was handcrafted at Karma's Innovation and Customization Center in Moreno Valley, California and features a combination of custom exterior paint including White Smoke, Flame Yellow, Balboa Blue, and Salt, calipers, wheels and a personalized interior with special stitching and control panel jewels.
"These special 2019 Reveros are a vibrant illustration of the opportunities available through Karma customization and a signpost to our future made-to-order offerings," said John Maloney, Karma's Chief Revenue Officer. "What does the future of luxury hold? For our discerning luxury customers the future holds precisely what they envision – a vehicle unique as their individual lifestyles."
If you were hoping to buy one of these one-off 2019 Revero cars, we're afraid you're out of luck because they've all been sold. You'll still be able to extensively customize the new 2020 Revero GT, however, as Karma says it will be announcing its customization program for the new model in Q4.
