After debuting the colorful LC Inspiration Concept at Pebble Beach last year, Lexus has confirmed the production LC 500 Inspiration Series will go on sale in April starting at $106,210 plus a destination charge. It represents the third Inspiration Series Lexus to launch after the Black Panther-inspired LC Inspiration Series and the LX Inspiration Series.

Limited to just 100 examples, the 2019 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series is finished in a vibrant Flare Yellow paint, "a rich, metallic shade of yellow that's eye-catching from a distance, yet subtly handsome up close where the deep layers of paint highlight every crease in the sheetmetal." The striking finish is contrasted with a carbon fiber roof and lower grille insert. As standard, the special edition LC 500 Inspiration Series also rides on 21-inch wheels.

Inside, the LC Inspiration Series also gets several unique design elements including bespoke yellow door inserts made of alcantara that match the color of the exterior. The standard touring seats also feature semi-aniline leather with yellow stitching, which is also applied to the instrument panel, console and glovebox to distinguish the Inspiration Series model.

An inscription on the carbon fiber door sills marks the car's production run number and each car will come with a matching leather Lexus garment bag that folds into a travel bag. Flare Yellow lining highlights the inside panels, and double yellow stitching adorns the top hem.

Like every LC 500 coupe, the LC Inspiration Series is powered by a 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8 that sends 471 horsepower to the rear wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission, enabling the sports car to hit 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds. Before it goes on sale in April, the 2019 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series will make its public debut at the Chicago Auto Show, which runs from February 9-18.
