After being on sale for four years, Lexus has given the RC luxury sports coupe an update for the 2019 model to keep it fresh with styling cues from its more upmarket LC sibling. Daytime running lights have been integrated into the reshaped headlight cluster, which now flow into the front bumper. New air ducts have also been added to the rear bumper with revised rear combination lamps that now house more pronounced L-shaped lenses, and the mesh grille has been subtly restyled to make the 2019 RC look more aggressive.

The new RC F Sport also receives a new grille mesh pattern shared with other F Sport models, as well as aggressively-styled 19-inch alloy wheels inspired by those on the LS and LC. Lexus has also improved the car's aerodynamics and fine-tuned the suspension. Enhanced aerodynamics such as a new fin shape on the side window mold and a duct on the rear bumper improves air flow, resulting in improved stability.

New 19-inch wheels and tires with increased grip enhance the steering response, while stiffer suspension bushings and new shock absorbers sharpen up the handling. The powertrain has also been tweaked, but Lexus hasn't revealed any technical specifications. However, reports suggest the facelifted RC F will use a more powerful version of the current model's 5.0-liter V8.

Ten different exterior colors will be available for the 2019 Lexus RC, including a new Blue Vortex Metallic color. Inside, a new Dark Gray Streamline treatment has been applied to the heater control panel and audio panel, while enlarged knee pads have been raised to "create a heightened sense of space".

Six different types of interior trim will be available with color choices including Glazed Caramel and Black with Yellow accents. In total, there are seven exclusive interior color combinations available, including those for the F Sport. More details will be revealed in October when the 2019 Lexus RC makes its world debut at this year's Paris Motor Show.
