Nissan has announced US pricing and model range details for the 2019 Rogue SUV, which remains the automaker's best-selling model. The most significant change is that the 2019 Rogue is the first Nissan to benefit from the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of safety tech that comes as standard equipment on SV and SL S trims, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Parking.

The S grade model can also be equipped with a new Special Edition Package featuring 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, heated exterior mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, heated driver's and front passenger seat, chrome exterior and interior door handles and roof rails.

Moving up the range, SV grade models can be optioned with the Premium Package, which adds 18-inch alloys, ProPilot semi-autonomous tech and an electronic parking brake. Rear Automatic Braking and Rear Sonar System have been added as standard on SV and SL grades, while ProPILOT Assist and 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels now come as standard on SL grade after previously being available as part of the SL Premium Package. All trims come with Rear Door Alert and a seven-inch Nissan Connect infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play.

Like last year's model, the 2019 Rogue is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque, paired with an Xtronic CVT transmission. As before, it's available with front- or all-wheel drive. Fuel economy is rated at 26/33/29 mpg city/highway/combined for front-wheel drive models, while AWD models are estimated at 25/32/27 mpg city/highway/combined.

A hybrid version of the 2019 Rogue with a combined output of 176 hp will also be offered in the West, Northwest, Mountain and Mid-Atlantic regions of the US. Prices for the 2019 Nissan Rogue start at $25,795 plus a $995 destination and handling fee, while the 2019 Rogue Hybrid starts from $28,595.
