Buick has all but abandoned the traditional sedan market, save for the Regal. The Verano and LaCrosse are goners with no immediate replacements planned. Crossovers officially make up most of GM premium brand's lineup and sales for all of them have mostly been excellent. Buick's largest crossover, the three-row Enclave, continues to be one of its best-sellers. As GM Authority noted, Enclave sales increased by 4 percent in third quarter of this year and the automaker very much wants to continue that momentum as 2019 comes to a close.

Buick has just announced an Enclave discount that slashes off as much as 20 percent off the price for most 2019 models for the month of November. This is the largest Enclave discount offered so far this year.

However, this rebate is valid only for non-GM owners, meaning eligible customers must own at least a 2005 or newer model year non-GM vehicle to qualify. Needless to say, GM owners, especially those who have remained loyal over the years, won't be satisfied in this case. Buick clearly wants to lure away owners from its main competitors, such as Acura and Lincoln.

The only other major exception to the 20 percent discount is that it does not include the base Preferred trim. All other trims, specifically Essence, Premium, and Avenir in both FWD and AWD, are eligible.

Buick provided a discount pricing example as such: a 2019 Enclave Avenir with an MSRP of $58,800 will be lowered to $47,040 thanks to a $2,638 price reduction plus a $9,122 purchase allowance. That's a combined $11,760 discount. As of now, the 20 percent discount is good through December 2.

There is a current lease offer, but it does not appear to be as enticing as buying. A 2019 Enclave FWD Essence can be had for $330 a month for 36 months with $5,199 due at signing. That's a very high upfront payment for an Enclave that's not even the top-of-the-line Avenir trim.
