After announcing pricing details for the updated 2020 A4, Audi has now confirmed how much the refreshed 2020 A5 and its high-performance S5 sibling will cost. The 2020 Audi A5 Coupe starts at $42,900 for the Premium trim, $46,700 for Premium Plus model, and $52,600 for the top Prestige trim. Like the A4, the 2020 model is $1,300 cheaper than the 2019 model, which starts at $44,200. Pricing for the more practical 2020 Audi A5 Sportback matches the Coupe.

If you want to experience some open-top driving thrills, the 2020 Audi A5 Cabriolet will set you back at least $49,900 for the Premium trim, $53,700 for Premium Plus, and $59,600 for Prestige. Pricing for the high-performance 2020 S5 Coupe, on the other hand, starts at $51,900 (Premium), $54,400 (Premium Plus), and $60,300 (Prestige).

Moving up the range, the 2020 Audi S5 Sportback will set you back $51,900 ($500 less than last year's model), $54,400, and $60,300 for Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trims, while the 2020 Audi S5 Cabriolet starts at $60,200 (Premium), $62,700 (Premium Plus), and $68,600 (Prestige). Compared to the outgoing model, the 2020 Audi A5's exterior has been refreshed with styling tweaks including a new grille, a bumper with larger air intakes, sleeker side sills, and standard LED lights. Inside, the interior has been updated with a new MIB 3 infotainment system and a 10.1-inch display.

As standard, all A5 models are equipped with a robust 2.0-liter TFSI engine generating 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a seven-speed S tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system, this setup allows A5 Coupe models to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 5.6 seconds. Sportback models will do the same sprint in 5.7 seconds, while Cabriolet models need six seconds.

The more powerful S5 models, on the other hand, are equipped with a 3.0-liter TFSI engine delivering 349 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque and mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, allowing S5 Coupe models to sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds. Sportback and Cabriolet models will do the same sprint in 4.5 seconds and 4.8 seconds, respectively.
