Do you shop at Costco? Interested in purchasing a new GM vehicle? Well, you're in luck because the automaker has just launched its annual promotion for new vehicles purchased through the Costco Auto Program. Why is this a good thing? Because buyers will benefit from not only GM Supplier Pricing, meaning upfront savings and hassle-free buying, but also a Costco Cash Card worth $700 for Executive Members and $300 for Gold Star members. Sounds great, right? It is, but not if you were planning to buy a brand new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

First reported by CarsDirect, the mid-engined 495 horsepower high-performance sports car is excluded from this deal. C8 Corvette buyers shouldn't feel too discriminated against because the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD is also ineligible. There could be worse things, just remember that.

CarsDirect also noticed something else regarding this discount: even if 2020 Corvette buyers were included, the terms and conditions state that factory orders don't qualify and vehicles must be purchased by January 2, 2020, the day the Costco program expires. The new Corvette is not expected to reach dealerships until early next year, certainly after the aforementioned expiration date. Okay, but what about a 2019 Corvette? Surely Chevy is anxious to offload those remaining C7s? Unfortunately, it also appears to be ineligible according to the Costco Auto website. It was in the past but hasn't been eligible since August.

But there is some good news, assuming you're not in the market for a Corvette or Silverado HD: this promotion can be applied towards purchases and leases. Previously, it was for purchases only. Oh, and if you're not already a Costco member, don't think you can run out to the nearest location and sign up and immediately be eligible for this program.

The deal requires you to be a paying Costco member as of September 30, just before the program's start date.
