Only a few days ago we learned that the facelifted 2020 Genesis G90 carries a starting price of $73,195 (for the 3.3T Premium RWD, including $995 destination fee). Genesis has since confirmed this information and provided pricing for the rest of the G90 range.

The 3.3T Premium AWD starts from $75,695, the 5.0L Ultimate RWD and AWD start from $76,695 and $79,195, respectively. The most expensive Genesis G90 costs nearly the same as the cheapest Tesla Model S. And now it's about to get even less expensive.

Cars Direct has uncovered a bulletin recently sent to Genesis dealerships announcing some very attractive savings for this full-size luxury flagship sedan. Genesis wasted no time in offering discounts, which makes sense because it's important to get G90 sales off to a solid start. But like any vehicle, these discounts vary according to trim level.

The base G90 Premium now has a $5,000 discount while the AWD version has a $5,250 price drop. The V8-powered G90 Ultimate RWD only has a $4,000 discount but there's a $5,750 being taken off the V8 AWD's price. Still not good enough for you? Genesis is also offering another $1,000 bonus for customers coming from a competing brand. Are you a loyal Hyundai and/or Genesis owner? There's also a $1,000 loyalty discount. All told, there's $6,750 in possible savings right now, assuming one meets all the criteria.

Leasing a 2020 G90, however, is another matter. At the moment, the G90 Premium is offered at $899 a month for 36 months with $5,999 due at signing. This comes to $1,066 a month. Factor in either of the above offers and the amount slightly drops to $1,038.

To compare, some lease offers for the BMW 7 Series are almost $200 more expensive per month. Given that Genesis aims to be a more value-focused luxury brand, a mere $200 difference is not significant, especially for wealthy customers. For the time being, this month's retail offer is the better option.

With nearly $7,000 in potential savings, the 2020 G90 offers V8 power, plenty of luxury and advanced technology features, and AWD for under $75,000.
