After giving the 2020 Civic Hatchback a facelift last week, Honda has given the sporty Civic Si Coupe and Civic Si Sedan an update for the 2020 model year. Arriving in dealerships on September 6, the 2020 Honda Civic Si boasts refreshed styling, improved performance, and new standard safety tech.

Visually, the 2020 Civic Si Coupe and Sedan look more aggressive, thanks to styling enhancements including revised lower bumper fog light housings with gloss black surrounding trim and a body-color crossbar. Honda's signature "wing" grille crossbar has also been updated, and the headlights have been updated with multi-element LED lamps with a wider and longer light beam. Both body styles also receive new LED fog lights.

At the rear, the Si Sedan gets a new lower bumper treatment to match the new front design, with gloss black surrounding trim and a body-color crossbars. Matte black 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-season performance tires now come as standard, with summer tires available as an option. Inside, both Civic Si Coupe and Sedan feature updated sport seats with red accents on the seat bottom and seat back, while the instrument panel is highlighted with new red trim.

Like last year's model, the Civic Si packs a powerful 205-horsepower, 1.5-liter, direct injected and turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, and adjustable two-mode adaptive damper system. For the 2020 model year, the transmission has a six-percent shorter final-drive ratio for improved acceleration.

For 2020, the Civic Si Sedan and Coupe feature the Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assist technologies as standard equipment, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System incorporating Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System and Road Departure Mitigation incorporating Lane Departure Warning. As part of the Honda Sensing package, all Honda Civic models also receive automatic high beams.

Pricing for the 2020 Honda Civic Si starts at $25,000 for the Coupe and $25,200 for the Sedan, plus a $930 destination charge.
