If the Lexus LX 570 isn't striking enough for you, check out the new Sport Package.
The third-generation Lexus LX 570 has been around since 2007, but the upmarket take on the Toyota Land Cruiser is aging gracefully. Given its age though, Lexus is giving the LX 570 some automotive botox in the form of the new Sport package for the 2020 model year while we continue to wait patiently for actual news on possible replacement models for the Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX.
The Sport Package is only available for the three-row optioned LX 570 and consists of mainly aesthetic modifications to give the body-on-frame leviathan a more sporty look. The front fascia has been revised with a new take on its spindle grille that somehow manages to make it even bolder and more in your face. The lower rear valence has also been revised, and body-color side mirrors gain fresh chrome accents.
Just in case the grill isn't attracting enough attention, LX models equipped with the Sports Package also gain high-riding 21-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, as well as a Mark Levinson 19-speaker surround sound audio system, a heated linear espresso wood steering wheel, a head-up display, and a wireless charging pad for cell phones. Interior options are based around semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats in a choice of Black, Cabernet, or exclusive Moonlight White.
LX models with the Sport Package will also come equipped with the Luxury Package that includes heated and ventilated front and rear seats, four-zone climate control, and LX projector door lamps.
The 2020 LX 570 still comes with the 5.7-liter V8 engine with 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque available low down in the RPM range. The 2020 model goes on sale in September with a starting price of $86,380 for the two-row model. The three-row model starts at $91,380 with the Sport Package getting a base price of $99,300.
