A group of four designers, working under the supervision of Fiat, have rendered what they believe the next GranTurismo should look like. While some parts of the design, such as anything to do with the wheels, might be a bit of a stretch when you consider that 2020 isn't really so far into the future, the overall proportions of the car have a classic and highly feasible look to them. Also feasible is the proposed engine, a 4.2-liter V8.

The primary aim of the project was to evolve the GranTurismo, but also make sure that the concept would be recognizable as a Maserati even if it wasn't wearing any badges. This seems to have been largely achieved, although perhaps the designers did cheat a bit, since the LED taillights are reportedly stylized versions of the Maserati trident emblem. There was also an emphasis placed on saving weight, which is exemplified by the seats, which use minimalistic combination of such lightweight materials as aluminum.
