The 2020 Roush-tuned F-150 isn't crazy expensive either.
The Ford F-150 comes in as many flavors as you would expect from America's best selling truck. For some styles and abilities, it's worth turning to aftermarket companies to put the finishing touches on the truck, though. Roush has a long and tight relationship with Ford. More famously, the relationship is over the Mustang, but Roush puts a lot of love into the F-150 as well, and for a street truck the Roush Nitemare is a supercharged 650 horsepower beast. To go with that, Roush has announced its latest Roush F-150 with a distinctly off-road agenda.
The all-new 2020 Roush F-150 can be built for customers from either the Ford XLT or Lariat platforms and features Roush's trademark engineering prowess and attention to detail. The Roush F-150 starts with the suspension package partnering with FOX. It has 2.0-inches of lift added at the front and features nitrogen-charged aluminum body coilovers with tuned performance springs. At the back, 6061-T6 aluminum rear shocks with internal floating pistons keep things stable on the road and over rough ground.
While Roush doesn't give any power upgrade numbers, the company claims its dual-tip performance exhaust system expels "all of that added power and torque along with an aggressive tone."
New 20-inch satin black Roush wheels wrapped with 33-inch General Tire Grabber AT/X tires touch the ground on each corner, and match up with the appearance package. The aggressive Raptor style grille and fender flares have integrated accent lighting, and there are Roush badges added to the bodywork. There are also "R" projector/puddle lamps that display the Roush logo onto the ground when the doors are opened. Inside, a console-mounted selector switch allows drivers to toggle between touring, sport, or off-road mode.
Roush is also offering an upgradeable premium leather package as well as a console safe, off-road utility kit, and an active exhaust system. The 2020 Roush F-150 can be ordered via Roush-authorized Ford dealerships, and the package starts at just $13,750 over the price of the original vehicle's MSRP.
