2021 Lamborghini Urus Stars In Hollywood-Style Chase

Video / Comments

Watch two Lamborghini Urus SUVs battle it out on the streets and in the dirt.

The 2021 Lamborghini Urus debuted back in June this year with a new striking 'Pearl Capsule' color range created by Lamborghini's Centro Stile design department. Available in yellow, orange, and green, the stylish Pearl Capsule package adds a contrasting gloss black roof, rear diffuser, and spoiler lip, along with matt grey tailpipes and 23-inch high-gloss black rims with body-color accents.

To show what the 2021 Urus can do, Lamborghini's new promotional campaign stars the high-performance SUV in a Hollywood-style chase scene. One Urus is finished in orange, while the other is finished in green with the Pearl Capsule package.

The duel starts at night with the two high-performance SUVs sneaking into an abandoned oval race track with massive banked corners to showcase the Urus' performance before racing on city streets and dirt tracks in the Terra off-road mode to highlight the SUV's capabilities. No movie chase scene would be complete without some high-speed reverse driving. We were expecting to see the SUVs smash into some cardboard boxes.

A third black Lamborghini Urus joins the chase, looking very menacing. It's probably only a matter of time before bad guys start using black Lamborghini Urus SUVs in big-budget Hollywood movies.

In a surprise twist, the driver of the black Urus is revealed to be the mother of the two other drivers, who used to race a Lamborghini Miura in the 1960s.

No powertrain updates were added for the 2021 model year, but the Urus is hardly underpowered. With a twin-turbo V8 producing 641 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, the Urus will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 189.5 mph, making it one of the fastest SUVs on the planet. Pricing for the 2021 Lamborghini Urus starts at $218,009, an increase of over $18,000 compared to the 2020 model since previously optional driver assists such as a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring now come as standard.
