Now that Mercedes has confirmed an early-September reveal date, the countdown for the all-new Mercedes S-Class has begun. Thanks to leaked images, revealing spy shots, and an official shadowy teaser photo released by Mercedes, we already have a good idea what the next-generation version of Mercedes' flagship luxury sedan will look like. This has enabled render artist Nikita Chuyko to digitally remove the camouflage to give us an even clearer preview of its sleek body before the official debut.

Don't expect any major styling changes, as the exterior will receive an evolutionary update. Slimmer full matrix LED headlights will help modernize the S-Class for a new generation, while the grille will be larger with thinner chrome trim.

Pop-out door handles give the profile a cleaner look, and redesigned horizontal taillights replace the current model's vertical ones. Other subtle visual changes include a 1.57-inch longer wheelbase and tweaked side mirrors. The model envisioned in the renderings is equipped with an AMG Line appearance package, which adds larger side air intakes to the front bumper.

The artist hasn't rendered the interior, but Mercedes has also given us a clear look inside the luxurious high-tech cabin. There will be up to five digital displays in total, including a massive 12.8-inch portrait-oriented central screen with haptic feedback and the latest version of Mercedes' advanced MBUX infotainment system, a 3D digital instrument cluster, and three displays for rear passengers.

As for engine options, the new S-Class will be available with a choice of six- and eight-cylinder engines with a mild-hybrid 48-volt electrical system, as well as a range of plug-in hybrid powertrains offering ranges of up to 62 miles. We'll learn more about the new Mercedes S-Class in the coming weeks, as Mercedes will reveal the luxury sedan's new safety tech and comfort features on July 29 and a more revealing look at the interior on August 12 before the full reveal in early September.
