Porsche has just announced a host of new features available for the 2021 911 Carrera S and 4S and there's one particular standout. The seven-speed manual transmission, previously available in certain 911 models, will be offered as a no-cost option over the PDK dual-clutch as part of the Sport Chrono package. Here's the downside: the manual is for European customers only.

For now, Porsche has made no mention of the seven-speed's US market arrival for the Carrera 4 and 4S, though this could happen further down the line. The Sport Chrono package also includes a host of driver-focused features such as Porsche Torque Vectoring and the tire temperature indicator first revealed on the new 911 Turbo S.

Those opting for the manual/Sport Chrono package combo will also benefit from an automatic rev-match function, dynamic engine mounts, PSM Sport mode (where a switch on the steering wheel allows the driver to change from Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, Wet and Individual modes), and the Porsche Track Precision App.

According to Porsche, the manual-equipped Carrera S will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 191 mph. Curb weight is also down compared to PDK-equipped cars by 99 pounds. Other new features for 2021 Porsche 911 Carrera S and 4S models in Europe and North America include the Porsche InnoDrive system which utilizes navigation data to calculate the ideal times for acceleration and deceleration by taking into account corners, gradients, and speed limits.

There's also a new Smartlift function that enables the front lift system to automatically lift in areas where the car is commonly driven. It saves the GPS coordinates of a particular area simply by pushing a button.

Styling-wise, there's a new 930 leather package inspired by the first 911 Turbo. Already available in the later 911 Turbo S, Carrera S and 4S customers can now add quilted door panels and seat center panels at the front and rear, and other leather trims from the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur portfolio. Lastly, a new exterior paint color has arrived: Python Green.
