The wait for the Hellcat-powered 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is finally over, and it's safe to say it's exceeded all expectations. Thanks to its 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 producing 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, this is a pickup truck that can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 118 mph, leaving the Ford F-150 Raptor firmly in the dust. That makes Ram's new crazy creation the fastest and most powerful half-ton pickup truck in the world.

With its segment-shattering performance figures, the TRX deserves a special edition, which is why Ram is building a limited Launch Edition of the potent pickup for early adopters.

Only 702 examples of the 2021 Ram TRX Launch Edition will be built as a homage to the truck's obscene power output. "The Ram team is as excited about the all-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX as our customers are," said Mike Koval Jr., Head of Ram Brand at FCA North America. "Many of those customers have been asking for something special, even above the TRX's already loaded features."

Distinguishing the 2021 Ram TRX Launch Edition is an Anvil Gray exterior, which will be exclusive to the limited-edition truck. Inside, every TRX Launch Edition trucks features a unique red and brushed-aluminum center console badge signifying its exclusivity.

As standard, the Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition is equipped with the TRX Level 2 trim package, which adds carbon-fiber interior trim, a color accent package, a head-up display, beadlock-capable wheels, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and bodyside graphics.

Production of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition will start in early Q4 2020 at FCA's Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. Pricing for the limited-edition TRX hasn't been announced but its rarity means it will inevitably cost more than the regular 2021 Ram TRX, which starts at $69,950. If sales of the 2021 Ford Bronco First Edition are anything to go by, don't be surprised if the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition sells out fast.
