Truck buyers like to have a vehicle that matches their personality, which is why the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has been offered with a variety of special editions. Chevy's most recent special Silverado models, the 2020 Midnight & Rally Editions, added a touch of aggressiveness with either an off-road or on-road vibe. It seems like 2020 just began but Chevy is already revealing the first 2021 Silverado special edition.

Working with the world's leading camouflage brand, Chevy is now introducing the 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition. This is the second time Chevy has partnered with Realtree, having done a camouflaged Silverado back in 2016.

"Silverado continues to offer customers more choice and capability where it counts," said Bob Krapes, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing. "Building on the popular Custom Trail Boss model, the new Realtree Edition offers hunting and fishing enthusiasts a truck perfectly matched to their passions."

This limited edition model starts off as a Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss and is then applied with custom camo graphics from Realtree. As with all Trail Boss models, the Realtree Edition includes a two-inch suspension lift, 20-inch black wheels, Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT On-Off Road Tires, and the Z71 Off-Road Package. The Z71 Package adds monotube Rancho shocks, Hill Descent Control, an automatic locking rear differential, skid plates, and a two-speed transfer case.

Buyers can choose between the 5.3-liter V8 engine sending 355 horsepower out through a six-speed automatic or an optional 6.2-liter V8 mated to a 10-speed automatic producing 420 hp. In addition to the camo graphics on the exterior, the Realtree Edition includes camo interior door trim and a Realtree logo integrated into the bedliner. The look is completed with black badging, black exhaust tips, four-inch black round assist steps, and all-weather floor liners.

Chevy will have the 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition on display this week during the 2020 SHOT Show (an event for professionals in the sport shooting, hunting, and outdoor industry) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The truck will be available at dealership starting in the summer of 2020, with pricing to be revealed closer to production.
