Back in 2018, Audi unveiled the e-tron GT concept, a sleek, coupe-style electric sedan previewing the German automaker's attack on the Tesla Model S. The electric concept car even made an appearance in 'Avengers: Endgame', where it was driven by Tony Stark. Three years later, the 2022 Audi e-tron GT has arrived in America and is available for test drives at Audi dealerships.

In the US, the standard e-tron GT starts at $99,900, while the high-performance RS e-tron GT retails for $139,900, plus a $1,045 destination charge. Both models are eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit. Audi has also launched an online configurator allowing US customers to build their dream e-tron GT and browse the available customization options.

Propelling the 2022 Audi e-tron GT is a dual motor setup producing a combined 469 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, but a Boost Mode temporarily increases the output to 522 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque. With Boost Mode activated, the e-tron GT will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 152 mph. Slotting above the e-tron GT, the RS variant is good for 590 hp and 612 lb-ft or 637 hp with Boost Mode.

When using Boost mode, the RS e-tron GT's 0-60 mph time drops to 3.1 seconds. Both models are powered by a 92-kWh battery pack providing an EPA-estimated range of 238 miles in the e-tron GT and 232 miles in the RS variant. According to Audi, the battery can be charged from 5-80 percent in just 22 minutes using a DC fast charging at the maximum 270 kW charging speed. Impressively, around 120 miles of range can be added in just ten minutes.

In the US, the e-tron GT rides on 20-inch five-double-spoke alloy wheels with grey accents. An available performance package adds black accents to the wheels. The RS e-tron GT, on the other hand, comes with 20-inch five-spoke sustainably manufactured aero wheels and can be upgraded with larger 21-inch wheels.

In a first for an Audi model, a carbon roof panel is also fitted to the RS e-tron GT as standard. Inside, the interior is leather-free and uses recycled materials, but Nappa leather is still available. An Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel is equipped as standard, or you can have the wheel wrapped in perforated leather if you prefer. Standard tech includes a 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit display and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen.
