Following months of spy shots and a few leaked photos, the facelifted 2022 Genesis G70 sedan debuted late last year before being shown to the US market. Though the G70 is not all-new, the facelift aligns the model with more recent Genesis products like the G80 and GV80. Under the hood, the engines carry over from last year's model, including a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque or a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. The updated 2.5-liter engine from the Kia Stinger is not found here.

Other upgrades include a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display and more standard safety features, such as Genesis Highway Driving Assist.

Genesis has now revealed full pricing information for the 2022 G70 lineup, including the new Launch Edition model.

The G70 is no longer offered with a six-speed manual transmission, so an eight-speed automatic is the only option left. Pricing for the base G70 Standard with RWD starts at $37,525 ($39,625 for AWD), while the Prestige trim costs $41,525 ($43,625 with AWD). Stepping up to the V6 engine costs $42,100 ($44,200 with AWD) for the Standard trim, $46,400 for the Sport Advanced ($48,500), or $50,400 for the Prestige trim ($52,400).

Genesis will only build 500 examples of the Launch Edition, which starts at $52,500 ($54,500 with AWD). This limited edition model will come in exclusive matte colors with a red leather interior and lightweight 19-inch black wheels.

All trim levels include Genesis Service Valet with complimentary scheduled maintenance and at-home pick-up for three years or 60,000 miles.

Pricing for the 2022 G70 seems competitive with other luxury compact sedans, undercutting German options like the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class by several thousand dollars. It even undercuts the Lexus IS, though the Acura TLX and Infiniti Q50 are less expensive. Genesis says the 2022 G70 will arrive in dealers this summer, and orders are now open.
