Back in June, Lexus lifted the wraps off the all-new 2022 NX. With bolder styling, a more technologically advanced cabin featuring a digital gauge cluster, a larger touchscreen, and more sophisticated standard safety tech, the 2022 Lexus NX is a significant improvement over its predecessor.

In its standard guise, the compact luxury crossover is already an aggressive-looking vehicle thanks to its prominent spindle grille. If you want to stand out from the crowd, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) has launched a new range of performance parts that give the NX a sportier, more aggressive attitude.

Starting at the front, a new front spoiler gives the NX a more imposing face while improving the aerodynamics and steering response. New wing mirror covers and side skirt extensions also improve the crossover's aerodynamics. At the back, Lexus NX owners can install an aggressive diffuser and a sports exhaust system with quad tailpipes.

Complementing the sporty performance parts are a set of 20-inch forged alloy wheels. An available performance damper also reduces the cabin noise and vibration for a smoother, more comfortable ride, while also improving stability at high speed. Finally, member bracing can also be added for additional underbody protection.

TRD's performance parts are purely cosmetic, so there are no modifications under the hood. In the US, the 2022 NX is available with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 203 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque or a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbo engine pumping out 275 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.

Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power either to the front or all four wheels. More powerful electrified versions are also available: the 350h hybrid delivers 239 hp, while the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid is rated at 302 hp. In the US, pricing for the 2022 Lexus NX starts at $37,950 plus a $1,075 destination charge.
