The Porsche Cayenne was the German automaker's second-best-selling model last year, just behind the smaller Macan. Both of these SUVs are critical to Porsche's bottom line. The 911 program is also partially funded by them. As the third generation SUV enters the 2022 model year, Porsche is expanding the Cayenne range once again. Introducing the Cayenne Platinum Edition models, available specifically for the Cayenne, Cayenne E-Hybrid, and Cayenne S along with their Coupe body style counterparts.

No matter which trim buyers choose, they'll be getting an SUV with specific elements painted in a stunning Satin Platinum and a solid list of standard features. The intakes located in the front fascia, the Porsche logotype integrated into the LED taillight, and model designation are all painted in the edition namesake's color.

Standard equipment includes trim exclusive 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels painted in Satin Platinum, sport tailpipes in black, and window trim in high-gloss black. Several exterior colors are offered, each chosen specifically to further highlight the Satin Platinum hue: solid white, black, and metallic tones of Jet Black, Carrera White, Mahogany, Moonlight Blue, or Chalk, the latter classified as a special color.

Inside, the seat belts are also in Chalk and the door sill guards are made of brushed aluminum with a "Platinum Edition" designation. The interior package as a whole features textured aluminum trim.

Customers will appreciate the long list of additional standard features, such as LED headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System, a panoramic sunroof, Bose surround sound system, ambient lighting, 8-way adjustable sport seats, and Porsche brand crests located on the front and rear headrests. Those who want more customization should look no further than Porsche Manufaktur. Here they'll find even more ways to make the Cayenne Platinum Edition their own inside and out. There are no changes under the hood.

Sales are currently underway but customers will have to wait until this summer for delivery. The cheapest Cayenne Platinum Edition begins at $79,000 while the most expensive version, the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe, costs $93,800. Neither price includes the $1,350 delivery fee.
