The days are getting shorter since summer turned into fall and so is the countdown for the reveal of the 2023 C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The automaker previously announced the track-tuned Vette will be revealed on October 26 but specific details were not available yet. They are today. The C8 Z06 will have its global debut on that day (Tuesday) at 12 p.m. EDT via a live stream event everyone can watch.

As part of the debut, Chevy will host a panel discussion with key players involved in the Z06's development. Their goal is to "put the world on notice," meaning the likes of major players such as Porsche, McLaren, and even Ferrari.

Chevy released a single photo of a pre-production Z06 without camouflage but it lacked one key exterior component, the large rear wing. Fortunately, previous spy shots have already shown us this. Additional exterior modifications compared to the "base" Corvette Stingray include a new front fascia, enhanced rear quarter panels, fresh wheel designs, and many other vital tweaks. Out back, expect to see quad exhaust pipes.

No interior shots are available just yet, but we don't expect a dramatic layout change. Modifications should include new seats, a new steering wheel, and plenty of "Z06" badging. Power will likely come from a flat-plane crankshaft 5.5-liter V8 from the C8.R race car featuring dual overhead camshafts.

Total output will be around 600 horsepower and could rev up to 9,000 rpm. For reference, the Stingray revs up to 6,500 rpm. Pricing has not been announced and it's uncertain whether it will be during the reveal presentation. Bear in mind the Z06 is a 2023 model so many details are not finalized. If we had to guess, an $80,000 to $100,000 range sounds about right.

The previous generation C7 Z06 began at a little over $80,000. In any case, customers will be spending at least a $20k premium over the Stingray. We doubt there'll be any complaints about that.
