2023 Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper Is The Perfect Minivan For Family Adventures

Special Editions / Comments

It should be because "Road Tripper" was the top vote-getter on social media.

The Chrysler Pacifica is already one of the best minivans for pet owners, so it makes sense for the automaker to capitalize on this even more. Meet the 2023 Pacifica Road Tripper, a celebration of "more than 40 years and six generations of the minivan." according to Chrysler.

Beginning with the Pacifica's road warrior reputation and intelligent packaging, the Road Tripper tacks on even more features and content for family road adventures. Located on the front driver and passenger doors are new Luster Gray Road Tripper graphics that are outlined in Brilliant Orange. The 20-inch wheels found on the gas-powered model (the hybrid retains 18-inch wheels) also come in Luster Gray, while the orange center caps bear the Chrysler wing logo.

Other exterior cosmetic touches include semi-gloss Granite Crystal Chrysler wing badges with orange center inserts on the front grille and rear liftgate, Granite Crystal accents on the front fascia and grille trim, and door moldings, door handles, and mirror caps.

Families who require additional towing capability should opt for the gas-powered model that has a 3,600-pound tow rating, so long as it's equipped with the Trailer Tow Group.

Both gas and hybrid versions also come with a Mopar carrier-compatible roof rack. A couple of these carrier examples include cargo and bicycle units. The interior boasts Mopar-supplied all-weather floor mats. All Pacificas come standard with a wide range of features, such as the UConnect 5 infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, Stow 'n' Go seating, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Customers who require all-wheel-drive can get that upgrade but only on the gas-powered model.

The 2023 Pacifica Road Tripper is only available on gas-powered and hybrid Touring L models and comes in a choice of three exterior colors: Bright White, Brilliant Black, and Ceramic Gray.

The Road Tripper name was chosen after receiving the most votes on Chrysler's social media channels. Honestly, we're just surprised it's not called the Pacifica McPacificaface.

"Chrysler has been helping families get together and get away for decades, and the Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper celebrates our minivan's role as the perfect vehicle for creating unforgettable family moments on the road. Pacifica is the ultimate 'Van Life for Real Life' solution, and makes lives easier with innovative high-tech features, award-winning interior comfort and safety technology," said Chris Feuell, Chrysler brand CEO.

Pricing for the Road Tripper package is $2,395 for the Touring L, $2,095 for the Touring L AWD, and $1,495 for the Touring L Hybrid. Orders are set to kick off sometime in the first few months of 2023, with deliveries starting in the spring.
