We're still reminiscing about the spectacular vehicles we saw at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and already, coordinators are teasing the next iteration of the prestigious event. Next year, fans of the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race will be over the moon as the festival looks to celebrate 100 years of the historic test of man and machine.

In anticipation of next year's Le Mans-themed blowout, the 2022 Goodwood Revival assembled 16 previous winners who know just how difficult racing at the limit for hours on end is. Among them are nine-time winner Tom Kristensen and five-time winners Emanuele Pirro and Derek Bell.

"It's amazing that Le Mans has been holding this great race for 100 years," said Kristensen. "Goodwood and Le Mans are so much fun; I always enjoy visiting and have had the privilege of driving fantastic cars there. It was great to get together with all those Le Mans winners at Revival this year - I'm already looking forward to the reunion next year. I'm sure it will be a remarkable celebration."

Le Mans has been a common theme in Goodwood motorsport-related events. The 79th Members' Meeting treated affiliates to an exclusive demonstration of the legendary Porsche 956 and the car that replaced it, the fabled Porsche 962.

This year's Festival of Speed was also the stomping ground of choice for Porsche's new 963 LMDh car and the BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh, which shares a few of its powertrain components with the BMW XM SUV.

The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place from July 13-16 2023, and while details remain scarce, we will see the return of the Electric Avenue showcase - a must-see for electric vehicle fans - and FutureLab, which serves as a crystal ball for the future of automotive technology. Of course, we can expect plenty of Le Mans legends and vehicles to be in attendance, which should prove exciting.

"As the 24 Hours of Le Mans is such an iconic and integral motorsport institution, it is only natural that Goodwood should join in the celebrations of its 100th anniversary," said The Duke of Richmond, founder of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, adding, "I'm already looking forward to seeing the greatest collection of Le Mans cars and drivers that we've ever had at Goodwood in action on the Hill next year - it's going to be spectacular!"
