Pretty soon, Lincoln will debut a new Corsair for the 2023 model year. Predictably, we're getting one last teaser before the new luxury SUV hits the ground. Frankly, we should be looking at the newest Lincoln Corsair by this time tomorrow.

The teaser, which you can see below thanks to Twitter, shows off a little bit more of the SUV's updated face. It's clear this won't be a total overhaul, however. To put it in BMW terms, this is a Corsair LCI. In other words, a light refresh of the existing model After all, we only just got the Corsair back in 2020.

The teaser is pretty standard as far as shot composition goes. Ferrari did this with the Purosangue. BMW has done it with the XM. The list goes on. Still, that doesn't mean we can't learn a bit from the teaser. Most obviously, the new car keeps the upswept DRLs we can see on the 2022 model in the slide above. However, it does appear the lighting element has been updated.

Speaking of standards, we knew the new Corsair would get a larger mouth. Just about everything else does these days. We refer you back to the BMW XM from above. Still, this one stands to be a bit more shapely.

While the outline of the uper three fourths of the maw can be made out in the teaser, we're not sure what's become of the rest of the grille. From what we know about the new car, the shape will stay, with the lowermost part of the grille dropping furhter still and blending with the lower fascia of the car more.

Lincoln has to be careful here, as this strategy can lead to your car having a rather toothy appearance with little else to break up the front face of the car. Again, we refer you to some BMWs. Audi was guilty of this for some time as well.

Given Lincoln's current model hierarchy, we also expect this new look to borrow heavily from the larger Navigator. Not that this is a bad thing. In fact, the Navigator is a rather handsome car, despite the fact no one really talks much about it.

Right now, we know an electric Corsair will be offered in 2023, but other powertrains will be on offer this year. Currently, those are a turbocharged 2.0-liter, a turbocharged 2.3-liter, or a 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid. We'll have specifics for you tomorrow as the car debuts.
