2023 Nissan Ariya Prices, Trims, And Delivery Dates Announced

Pricing / Comments

Initially, only four trims will be available.

The Nissan Ariya is one of the prettiest electric crossovers we've seen in some time. Set to take the fight to the Tesla Model Y, Nissan will hope to replicate the success of the Leaf hatchback. However, we've had to wait longer than anticipated for the Ariya as the vehicle was delayed due to a few factors that included the global chip shortage. Fortunately, the 2023 Ariya is now one step closer to reaching showrooms as Nissan has confirmed that reservations have now opened for the EV. We also have official pricing, although the Ariya is a bit more expensive than we originally thought. However, less powerful and likely more affordable versions are on the way.

When Nissan revealed the Ariya, it was thought that the crossover would begin at around $40,000. However, the base Ariya Venture+ with front-wheel drive will begin at $45,950, excluding a destination and handling fee of $1,175. That's still much less than the Tesla Model Y Long Range which now begins at $58,990. Following the entry-level Ariya is the Evolve+ FWD at $48,950, the Premiere FWD at $53,450, and the Platinum+ e-4ORCE AWD at $58,950. All FWD models have a 238-horsepower electric motor and an estimated range of between 285 and 300 miles depending on the trim. The AWD model has dual electric motors producing 389 hp but an estimated range of 265 miles.

All these models have an 87-kWh lithium-ion battery (usable battery capacity), although a version with a 63-kWh battery is coming later, as is a 214-hp variant. Nissan says that pricing of more Ariya models will be announced in the future so the crossover will likely get closer to the $40k mark after all.

For the first 10,000 reservations made before January 31, 2022, customers will qualify for $500 in charging credits and an EVgo membership for two years. For the base model, this is equivalent to around 5,000 miles of range. Customers participating in the reservation program will have exclusive access to the Premiere FWD model.

This Premiere trim comes with special upgrades like 19-inch alloys, illuminated Premiere kick plates, and a Premiere emblem. All Ariya models enjoy features like wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, a CCS quick charge port, and the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite. The top model comes with a hands-free liftgate, Nappa leather seats, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, and more.

"The all-new Ariya is the embodiment of the new Nissan, and now customers can go out and be one of the first to reserve this game-changing electric crossover," said Michael Colleran, senior vice president, Nissan US and Marketing and Sales.

Deliveries of FWD models will start in fall 2022, with AWD derivatives following in late fall.
