The Subaru Crosstrek recently got a big, juicy update. New styling is just one of many changes to Subaru's popular AWD crossover, and now we know how much that group of changes is going to run you at your local Subaru dealership. Things are looking good, with the newest Crosstrek starting at only $23,645. Its new Hybrid sibling will start a shade higher at $36,845. We'll get to why that is in a moment.

The new '23 Crosstrek is available in six total trims if you count the Hybrid. Those are as follows: Base, Premium, Special Edition (another new change), and Subaru's luxe Limited trim. All of those are slated to show up at dealers later this summer.

From the galleries below, you can see the pricing breakdown for each model and trim level and we will list the highlights. Let's start with the option packages you'll want. Subaru includes a $1,600 package that nets you a moonroof, blind-spot and cross-traffic monitoring, keyless access and start, powered driver's seat, and the uprated 8-inch infotainment system. For a little more cash ($2,600) you can spring for all that plus nav and Harman Kardon speakers.

Hybrid models come with far more standard equipment, like Subaru's full suite of safety features. Still, for roughly $40,000 MSRP, we'd recommend adding the $2,500 luxury package which adds the moonroof, Harman Kardon speakers, nav, and a heated wheel. It's frankly not that much more cash for a little more luxury that'll help the Hybrid Crosstrek be more worth its $42,500 price tag. That sum also tops out the Crosstrek range.

For now, we'd say the best deal of the new Crosstrek lineup is the $24,795 Premium with a 6-speed manual. It saves you around $1,000 off the CVT, which means you can turn around and spend that cash on a nice options package. We'd go for the $1,600 one that includes the moonroof and upgraded infotainment system detailed in the gallery above. That ought to net you the most features for the least amount of cash possible.

For that money, the newest Crosstrek is looking to be another winner. If you live in places with hills, snow, and outdoor lifestyles, these Crosstreks are ready. We expect more of that, so long as the new Crosstrek holds up when we get behind the wheel.
