The 2024 Ford Mustang will reportedly be made available to order from March 27, according to a new post on the Mustang7G forum.

The source, who goes by the name of Twin Turbo, claims that the order guide and pricing will become available in the week of February 27. Around the same time, dealers will receive their training materials. The big news, however, is that order banks will reportedly open a month later, allowing thousands of Mustang aficionados to secure a build slot for what will undoubtedly become a high-demand vehicle.

Phase 1 of the Build and Price function will go live simultaneously, with the second part reportedly coming on April 17. This would enable fans and buyers to design their dream Mustang via the online configurator. The third phase will only arrive in June.

As for the Dark Horse, Ford's track-ready variant with 500 horsepower, the forum post claims that all dealers will receive at least one example, with the strongest performing retailers to acquire additional units. We recently learned the Dark Horse would rage into battle with a price tag of $57,970.

That price can quickly head north if you fancy some options, like the carbon fiber wheels that reportedly command $8,495. We're guessing wealthy Mustang buyers will largely ignore the price and specify the best Dark Horse possible.

As for the rest of the range, Ford is yet to announce pricing for the 2024 Mustang. We don't expect it to drastically differ from 2023 pricing; the current Mustang has a starting MSRP of $27,770.

Then again, the new Mustang is a reasonable improvement over the existing model, so we could see the base price shift closer to the $30,000 mark.

Even though the muscle car is yet to enter production, Ford has already sold the first example to a customer with deep pockets. As part of a Barrett-Jackson event, VIN 001 was auctioned off for a hefty $565,000. The proceeds will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, so it's all for a good cause.

For that substantial chunk of change, the generous buyer can specify the Mustang to their liking. Based on the latest rumor, they won't have to wait much longer and may have their 2024 Mustang sooner than they thought.
