As perhaps the finest example of Mercedes-AMG's capabilities, the 2021 AMG GT Black Series was revealed last year with typically jaw-dropping looks and a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 delivering a mighty 720 horsepower, instantly making it the most powerful Black Series ever. The incredible sports car has now inspired the new Cigarette 41' Nighthawk AMG Black Series special edition boat, presented by Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing. Yes, this is another spectacular watercraft creation between the two companies. In fact, this boat is the 13th example to have been developed as part of this special partnership.

By making use of a hardtop and a deck that are made from carbon fiber, the Nighthawk AMG Black Series boat is as light as it can be and has a low center of gravity for better handling. The twin-step hull design further contributes to its remarkable performance on water. Of course, being a Black Series, power is not in short supply. The Nighthawk uses five racing-grade outboard engines; each one is a 4.6-liter V8 Mercury Racing 450R and together they produce a combined 2,250 hp. Broken down individually, there is 450 peak propshaft horsepower from each V8 to play with. For a fairly large boat, this equates to an impressive top speed of over 90 mph.

The visual links between the brash AMG GT Black Series and the Nighthawk are impossible to miss. Last year, Mercedes unveiled the GT Black Series in an incredible new color combination - Magmabeam Orange and Black - and the boat dons the same color scheme. Even the center trim pieces of the engine cowlings are finished in the same vivid shade.

Being a luxury boat, the expansive cabin is finished to the high standards that we have come to expect from this partnership. Grey and black with orange detailing dominate, while the Cigarette Cool upholstery effectively dissipates heat so that you don't burn yourself when sitting down.

The forward seating helm can accommodate six forward-facing occupants, a setup that is said to be perfect for sporty driving. There is also an Audio Marine sound system, a sophisticated lighting system, and various Garmin 8617 multi-functional displays.

Considering the car's $325,000 price tag, the Nighthawk won't be easily attainable unless you've got especially deep pockets. Pricing for the powerful boat wasn't indicated but as an accompaniment to the AMG GT Black Series - and if you tire from track days for some reason - this is about as much fun as you're going to have on the water.
