Exclusive to the Japanese market.
Nostalgia often has us looking back at the cars of the past and yearning for what once was, even when we know that what we've got now is unarguably better. But throwbacks are nice, especially on joyous occasions like this one – the Toyota Land Cruiser's 30th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the company has announced it will return the original SUV to production for one year in Japan, with the necessary safety updates of course.
The 4.0-liter V6-powered Cruiser will make 228 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque and come mated to a five-speed manual, with standard part-time four-wheel drive. At $34,600, it seems like a good offer when compared to current models, especially with the added benefit of endless sentimentality.
