Chinese cars are derided for many things. For one, many of them are direct knockoffs of existing European, Japanese and American cars. Another big knock against Chinese cars is their lack of safety features. Chinese automakers are becoming bigger players on the worldwide stage, so safety should improve accordingly. Still, these crash test videos prove that Chinese cars, trucks and SUVs aren't quite up to snuff in the safety department. Unless the "snuff" in question is a snuff film, then they're doing just fine.

No word on what year, make or model this truck is, but it's safe to say that it'll never be exported to America. You've got to love how the crumple zone goes from the cab to the rear wheels.

Brilliance Auto might want to change its name after seeing this crash test. The dummies inside this sedan get completely annihilated, with the Euro NCAP overseer declaring that the driver has no chance of surviving the head-on collision. Looks like there's nowhere to go but up.

The Latin NCAP (South America's arm of the NCAP) gave the Geely CK 0 out of 5 safety stars. It may be tough to fathom how a car could get 0 out of 5 stars, but after you watch this crash test video the rating might be easier to grasp.

Without a doubt, today's Chery's have to be slightly safer than the one tested in this video. The front-end of this small sedan gets completely destroyed in a major way. This crash isn't as gnarly as some of the others, but it's still terrifying in its own special way.
