It's unfortunate that there aren't more Maseratis on the tuning scene. For whatever reason, tuning houses don't seem all that concerned with adding more horses and carbon fiber parts to the Italian car company's classy coupes and convertibles. That's too bad, especially since the Maseratis that do go under the tuning knife come out both faster and better looking. If you can't get enough of the GranCabrio and the GranTurismo S, then continue reading below to see some awesome Maserati tune jobs.

Anderson Germany developed a powerful and sexy tuning package for the Maserati GranTurismo S. The Superior Black Edition is covered in a black matte carbon fiber body kit consisting of new side mirrors and front and rear bumpers. The interior of the Superior Black Edition features black leather, but the real highlight is the headrest screens connected to a built-in PS3. The special edition cranks out 492hp, a full 52hp more than the standard Gran Turismo S.

Novitec made the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale even more beastly, tuning the Italian sports coupe to produce 646hp. The base tune job can do 0 to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds and top out at 190 mph. The top-level tune job cuts the 0 to 62 time by .7 seconds and ups its top speed to 205 mph. Novitec's Gran Turismo MC Stradale has 21-inch wheels (in the front) and the 22-inch wheels (in the rear), both wrapped in Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires.

In addition to tuning the GranTurismo MC Stradale, Novitec also tuned the Maserati GranCabrio. They began by installing a supercharger system, along with a water-cooled intercooler, and modifying the ECU. The tune job gives the GranCabrio 590hp and 492 lb-ft of torque. (That's a huge jump from the stock version's 440hp and 362 lb-ft of torque.) A carbon fiber aero kit made up of a new front spoiler, side skirts, a rear apron and a trunk spoiler round out the package.

The "Draken" is a tuned GranCabrio from SR Project and Ferrari Maserati of Vancouver that features solely aesthetic upgrades. The GranCabrio has an upgraded suspension, a new MC Sportline Aero front lip, new wheels (21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the back) and a red leather interior.
