John Hennessey and his team are really good at building fast cars. Hennessey has tuned a ton of cars, but it's the company's models with over 1,000 horsepower that always draw the most attention. The 1,000-plus horsepower vehicles that come out of Hennessey's shop are some of the fastest cars in the world with top speeds and engine specs that would make Bugatti green with envy. Head below to see some of Hennessey's quickest and craziest creations.

With a name like the VR1200 Twin Turbo, you know this Cadillac CTS-V is fast. This overt display of four-wheeled power has a 7.0-liter V8 engine equipped with two turbochargers. The VR1200 Twin Turbo produces 1066 hp (1,226bhp) and 1,109 lb-ft of torque. The top speed for this Caddie is 242 mph and its 0 to 60 time is 2.9 seconds. The aerodynamic body kit and a manual transmission with a centerforce dual friction clutch upgrade come standard on each of the 12 VR1200s that Hennessey is planning to build.

The word "fast" doesn't even begin to describe the Hennessey Ford GT. This mechanical monster packs a 2,000 hp engine good for a top speed of 257.7 mph. The tuned GT is the owner of the world record for the fastest standing half mile at 212.9 mph. It's also the owner of the world record for the fastest standing mile at, you guessed it, 257.7 mph.

The Hennessey Venom GT is amazing in just about every way. Its Corvette ZR1-sourced V8 engine packs two turbochargers and is rated at 1,200 hp and 1,155 lb-ft of torque. The Lotus Exige chassis that the Venom GT is built upon keeps the supercar's weight at an ultra low 2,645 pounds. All of this greatness makes it easy to see why Hennessey priced the Venom GT at $950,000 for the hardtop and $1.1 million for the targa configuration.

If the Dodge Viper were put on steroids, then it would look something like the Venom 1000 TT. The custom job has 1,000 hp base with an optional upgrade to 1,200 hp available. Brembo brakes, the VenomAero body kit and a KW adjustable coilover suspension are just a few of the things that come standard with the Venom 1000 TT.

The Hennessey Escalade is the definition of ridiculous. It weighs over 5,000 pounds, yet has 1,000 hp and can do 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Why a luxury SUV would ever need that much power and speed is a question only John Hennessey himself can answer.
