5 Reasons Why We Love Hennessey

Tuning / Comments

Could the world's most exciting aftermarket tuning firm hail from the Lonestar State? We certainly think so.

It's hard to find anything negative to say about Hennessey Performance. It may just be downright impossible. The Texas-based tuning firm/house of awesomeness just keeps outdoing itself by building kits for some already incredible cars. Hennessey has unquestionably become one of the finest all-around aftermarket performance firms on planet earth, and has even produced its own Veyron-beating supercar in the Venom GT. We picked out five videos that best showcase the company's many talents.

We just had to start off with the Venom GT. Hennessey's world-class hypercar recently hit a speed of 265.7 mph and John Hennessey himself claimed this was good enough to take the "world's fastest production car" crown from the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

A modified Ford GT by Hennessey? Yes, please. This twin-turbo GT, decked out in a military-style paint job, recently beat its own record of 257.7 mph at the Texas Mile. For 2013, it blazed along that same pavement at a scorching 267.6 mph.

With 1,226 horsepower and 1,109 lb-ft of torque on hand from its a 7.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, this Cadillac CTS-V coupe is yet another of Hennessey's creations, of which just 12 examples were built. It can go from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and tops out at 242 mph.

Yes, Hennessey Performance tuned a Ford Mustang Boss 302 and yes, it is incredible. The stock 5.0-liter V8 has been modified with an Eaton supercharger, now producing a total of 650 horsepower, propelling it to 60 in only 3.9 seconds.

The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor already defined greatness in stock form. But with the help of Hennessey, greatness can always be improved upon. TUNED host Matt Farah got behind the wheel of this modified 600hp V8-powered monster that's now called the VelociRaptor.
