Back in November last year, rap star French Montana was rushed to a hospital in San Fernando Valley after experiencing intense stomach pains and an elevated heart rate. According to a report by TMZ, doctors haven't determined the cause, but the rapper blames it "on partying way too hard" in four countries in four days.

After being under observation for two weeks in an intensive care unit, Montana was released from hospital and is celebrating his recovery in style just in time for the new year. How? By splashing out on a $1.5 million Bugatti Veyron as a gift to himself.

On Instagram, Montana shared a video of him taking delivery of the blue Bugatti Veyron at his house in Las Vegas and throwing toilet paper in the air "for the suckers" before giving his followers a preview of the interior.

"Fresh out of icu woke up in that new buggatti!!! lil gift to myself! feel like a boss move like a boss and taste like a boss lol," Montana wrote on Instagram. According to TMZ, the Veyron was delivered by Wires Only Luxury Car Dealer on a special truck to keep it pristine and protect it from damage.

Fellow rapper 50 Cent was less than impressed by Montana's choice of car, however, mocking him for buying a 2010 Bugatti Veyron in 2019 when it's been replaced by the more powerful Bugatti Chiron. "That's a 2010 Veyron man, you shoulda just got the Uber app on ya phone it's 2020 Chiron Man hahaha Put that bullshit back on that truck."

In response, French called 50 Cent a "dinosaur" and argued his new Veyron is a "collectors item" since only 450 were produced and it has "no miles" on the clock. If you need a refresher, the Bugatti Veyron is powered by an 8.0-liter W16 gasoline engine producing 987 hp sent through a seven-speed automatic transmission.
