6 Series Also Comes with Diesel Power

Industry News

As typical with most BMW's these days, a diesel engine was offered beginning in 2007. It is a 3.0 liter V6 which manages to achieve 41 mpg. The most exciting part about this engine is its performance. It can out run the standard 3.0 liter V6 conventional engine and has better fuel emissions. A convertible trim is also offered with both conventional and diesel engine options. The 6 Series is significantly larger than the 3 Series coupe, so expect handling to not be as crisp as the 3.

For a coupe this large, however, the car handles extremely well. There are two transmission choices: a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic Steptronic. While there is a back seat, it's only big enough for small children.
