6 Series is Serious Power and Luxury

Industry News

For those needing a luxury performance coupe, the 6 Series provides everything desired in usual BMW flare. Based on the 5 Series sedan, the 6 offers a 4.8 liter 360 hp V8 as well as a more affordable 3.0 liter V6 is also offered. Fuel economy is not the 6 Series strongest suit. The 4.8 liter delivers only 15 mpg. Also available in convertible trim, the 6 Series sports a luxurious interior with BMW's latest version of iDrive. With a base price of $78,200, the 6 Series doesn't come cheap.

For those looking to have a stylish performance luxury coupe, be prepared to fork over some serious cash. It's main competitors are the Audi A5, Cadillac XLR, and Jaguar XK. Expect a complete redesign in the near future.
