A Koenigsegg Regera with just 615 miles has appeared for sale on Bring a Trailer, marking the first time that a megacar from the Swedish manufacturer has been listed on the site. As one of just 80 examples ever made, this is a rare opportunity that doesn't come around very often, but this one is particularly special as it has more than $1 million in factory upgrades, including the Ghost Package. This cost $285,000 and added front and rear dive planes along with side-skirt winglets that, combined, generate 20% more downforce. Another quarter of a million dollars was spent on the Environmental Power Upgrade package, which allows for as much as 1,757 horsepower when using E85 fuel.

According to the original window sticker, the total MSRP came to $3,277,636, and we're not surprised. Custom Koengiseggs take years to complete, and the Regera is particularly special. With a unique transmission that effectively operates as a single gear throughout its operation, it's an exciting proposition simply for its distinctive drivetrain, but it's also worth owning as a record holder; the Regera is officially the quickest car to go from 0-249-0 mph with a time nearly five seconds quicker (31.49 seconds) than Bugatti managed with the Chiron. If you buy this Regera, you can be sure it's capable of extraordinary acceleration and speed, as Koenigsegg took every example to 186 mph before signing off on delivery.

This particular example will grab attention anywhere, with its custom Candy Liquid Blue paint contrasted by exposed carbon fiber and machine-turned gold-leaf accents. Gold-plated badging is joined by Tresex Aircore hollow carbon fiber wheels with more machine-turned gold leaf accents. The brake calipers are finished in body color. Inside, the carbon fiber bucket seats add more splashes of gold on blue and black. Polished and matte carbon fiber dominates the cabin, and more stunning carbon is evident in the engine bay too. Gold-plated fluid filler caps, gold leaf-wrapped opening struts, and a gold leaf Triplex suspension system with "1.31 MW" lettering (referring to the output in megawatts) finish off the innards.

It's a mesmerizing combination, and at the time of writing, bidding had reached $2,551,000, which we'd argue is something of a bargain. It's also one of the 10 highest-priced auctions ever on BaT. Bidding for lot #102311 closes on April 8.
