It's nearly 50 years old and the engine still sounds like it'll eat small children.
Ironically enough, there was a time when very few people thought that a used Shelby Daytona Coupe would have any monetary value. It was built in 1964 specifically for racing during the battle between Ferrari and Shelby. Only six were made. It has a top speed of over 190 mph and its body was designed by Pete Brock. It was the coupe version of the Shelby Cobra roadster, which simply didn't have the aerodynamic capabilities to beat the Ferrari 250 GTO along the Mulsanne Straight at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
If you've never heard one, this will be a real treat as car spotter Marchettino happened to be at the right place at the right time and caught one of the original six Shelby Daytona coupes going out for a little spin.
