Rezvani has a reputation for building some truly outlandish cars, from its aptly named Beast supercar, to the military-inspired Tank SUV with ballistic armor protection. The latest addition to the Rezvani family is a new special edition version of the Beast Alpha X dubbed the Blackbird, which also has a military connection. It's named after the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird jet fighter, one of the fastest planes of its time capable of speeds in excess of three times the speed of sound.

As you'd expect for a car named after a famous fighter jet, the Alpha X Blackbird is the quickest and most powerful vehicle Rezvani has ever built. While the standard Beast Alpha is powered by a 2.5-liter supercharged four-cylinder with 400 horsepower on tap, the Alpha X Blackbird has a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a Cosworth ECU that increases the output to 700 hp, along with Carillo-sourced forged pistons, rods, cams, valve, and springs. For the first time in a Rezvani, the Alpha X Blackbird is equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters, though a traditional six-speed manual is also available.

It's also one of the lightest sports cars on the market too, thanks to its carbon fiber body bringing the car's weight down to 952 kg, which is usually an optional extra for the Alpha. Combined with its potent powertrain, 0-62 mph takes just 2.9 seconds compared to 3.5 seconds in the standard Beast Alpha. The performance-orientated X package also adds distinctive lime green detailing on the front fenders and side profile, and a leather and Alcantara finished sport steering wheel. In addition, the Alpha X Blackbird rides on 18-inch forged alloy with AP Racing brakes, or you can have carbon ceramic brakes. Inside, the cabin comes fitted with carbon fiber door panels and carbon fiber detailing throughout.

Only five examples of the Rezvani Beast Alpha X Blackbird will be built, each commanding a hefty starting price of $225,000. One of them has already been delivered to MMA champion and actor Rampage Jackson, who worked closely with Rezvani to come up with a vehicle to "match his signature style and Beast-like personality."
