BMW's X5 M is already a pretty strong car in stock form, but an upgrade to 750 hp makes it something quite spectacular.
Some drag race videos are better than others, and this is one of them. At a recent Moscow Unlim 500+ event, which we presume is for cars with more than 500 horsepower, some entertaining races were filmed. Three cars were involved, but the video is clearly aimed at showing off the BMW X5 M with an Evotech Stage 2 conversion that raises the power to 750 hp, up from the stock car's output of an already formidable 576 hp and 554 lb-ft of torque.
The large X5 is seen racing against a pair of modified German saloons, one sporting a claimed, matching 750 hp and the other with even more power at 770 hp.
The bigger of the two sedans is the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG that sports a Renntech Stage 2 conversion which takes the power up to 750 hp while the smaller saloon is a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG that's been tuned by Morendi-Weistec and this one measures in at 770 hp. The races are pretty tight which you can expect from similar power figures, but the boss of the day is without doubt the BMW X5 M. Some may argue that the Bavarian beast has the advantage of an all-wheel drive setup, but that's offset by the lighter weight of the Mercedes duo. This is why we like Russian drag race videos; they often show cars that you'd never expect to pack hundreds of horsepower over stock.
