Carbon fiber is no stranger to the Ford Mustang. The Shelby GT500 has carbon fiber wheels, after all. It also gets a swath of carbon parts right from the factory. Older Mustangs have even been rebodied in carbon fiber before. And with the new seventh generation Mustang on its way, it appears the aftermarket for the sixth generation cars is heating up.

So, why not go all the way? Asira Designs out of Arizona clearly feels this way and has introduced a wild carbon fiber body for the sixth generation Ford Mustang. It's not cheap, at $43,000, but like we said. Why not go all the way?

By opting for the carbon body, owners will be saving more than 200 pounds once the stock panels are resting comfortably in their new dumpster home. Thankfully, for your $43,000, you also get even more carbon fiber in the form of accent pieces. That includes the side skirts, diffuser, rear wing, front endplates, and splitter.

On top of that, you can have the carbon done up in any color you want if the deep blood red seen here isn't to your liking. However, if you want a blacked-out, bare carbon Mustang, it's going to run you another $15,000.

All of the carbon weave is matched from the interior to the exterior. If you look closely at the photo above, you can see that there is a center line where the carbon weave either goes left or right down the bodywork. Regardless of which color you opt for (or lack thereof), all cars will have a clear coat installed for protection.

Obviously, you can't just ditch the weight and go home. As such, Asira Designs offers a supercharger kit that'll push up to 850 horsepower. You can also have a carbon fiber driveshaft and sticky new Michelin rubber with lightweight wheels. On top of that, bigger Brembos are on offer, as are a raft of suspension choices.

Inside, Asira will add yet more carbon, if you ask nicely and fork over some more money. Basically, anything that would be considered "trim" on the sixth gen Mustang can be swapped for carbon fiber. Supposing you're not happy with the factory head unit, Asira can swap in a new 10.2-inch unit while it installs a new quilted leather interior. You can even have leather and carbon inserts installed onto the steering wheel.

Those things will add weight (sans carbon), so Asira can delete your back seats, too, as well as a custom exhaust and new racing seats up front. That combo will save you around 100 lbs. Obviously, we're on what most might call "the wrong side" of six figures here. Of course, that depends on whether or not you think an 850-hp custom Mustang is worth it.
