Tuning house loses the plot by creating aftermarket program that gives the 557-hp shooting brake an additional 300 horses and pound-feet of torque.
Geman tuner Vath has gone a bit mental. It has devised a tuning kit for the already insane CLS63 AMG, dubbed the V63RS, that ups output of the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 to 846 horsepower and 870 pound-feet of torque. How, you may ask? By adding a modified turbo, an air charge cooling system, a downpipe system and rear silencer. Interested parties should expect to part with an eye-watering 46,172 Euros for the pleasure of having all that added power and the chance to hit 218 mph in a station wagon.
Vath is also offering buyers the opportunity to have their CLS AMG lowered by up to 40 mm, add some high-performance brakes, 20-inch three-piece alloys in titanium, a carbon-fiber front spoiler and rear diffuser, and a black carbon interior complete with leather-wrapped sports steering wheel and a 225 mph speedometer.
