918 Spyder Vs. Bugatti Veyron In The Lamest Hypercar Race Ever

Drag Race

There should have been way more action than this.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 and the Porsche 918 Spyder are two of the fastest hypercars in the world. There are few other cars that can compete with these juggernauts in a straight line. The Veyron is powered by an 8.0-liter W16 that produces 1,001 horsepower and 922 lb-ft of torque. It also weighs in at 4,162 lbs, is capable of hitting 62 mph in a mere 2.5 seconds and has a monstrous top speed of 253 mph. The 918 Spyder has a 4.6-liter V8, mated with two electric motors that makes the car capable of producing 887 horsepower and 944 lb-ft of torque.

The Porsche weighs in 3,650 lbs, can hit 60 mph in 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of more than 211 mph. One would probably anticipate an absolutely epic match up between these close competitors. But sometimes things don't always go as you might have hoped. Here's why:
