AMG S63 Sedan

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has long been seen as the gentleman's choice when it comes to luxury vehicles, and the focus of this German sedan has traditionally been on passenger comfort. Mercedes-AMG changed all that when it started introducing high-performance versions: the Mercedes-AMG S63 is a 600-horsepower bullet train, and although the company is already planning a new 700-hp super sedan, the S63 remains a king amongst peasants. Poseidon, a tuning company out of Germany is well-known for making Mercedes-Benz cars faster, and its latest creation takes the S63 and turns it into a wild beast.

We've covered some of Posaidon's wild creations before, including a 940 hp Mercedes-AMG G63, so this S63 will ring some bells for regular readers. The W222 S63 features a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that sends 603 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. This allows this German goliath to reach 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds. For the guys at Posaidon, these are amateur numbers.

The car you see here has been retrofitted to become an RS 830+ as the company calls it. What this means is a set of upgraded ball-bearing turbochargers, sports air filters, and new downpipes with sports cats have been fitted, along with a software upgrade to the engine and transmission control units. These upgrades push the power up to 880 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque.

This package drops the 0-62 mph time down to 3.2 seconds and allows the S63 to reach a top speed of 218 mph. For the power-hungry, Poseidon offers a few extra modifications to get the power up to a ridiculous 940 hp. This includes modifications to the cylinder heads and valve seats, as well as the installation of a water/methanol injection system. Not only is the Posaidon S63 much, much faster than stock, but it also looks cooler thanks to an electronic lowering module for its Airmatic air suspension. If you're rolling in an S-Benz, you know who to call.
