Anytime you buy a classic car, especially one that's half a century old, you're bound to run into a problem or two. Most likely many more. So it would seem like the best thing not to do is to drive an unrestored 1964.5 Ford Mustang from San Francisco, California to Traverse City, Michigan. That's over 2,770 miles. It's a gutsy and adventurous thing to do, but a road trip like that also sounds like an awful lot of fun.

And that's just what a couple of Hagerty Classic Cars employees did as part of a restoration project to help celebrate the Mustang's 50th anniversary. Aside from some basic essential repairs, this old Mustang is completely untouched. So is it still strong enough to complete the journey? Check out the video ahead.
